Drake Store in Lausanne: from wall-mounted fittings to an empty shop.
Wall-mounted furniture dismantled, several visits from Geneva, everything taken to approved disposal centres: the rue de Bourg boutique handed back empty, followed by more work in Geneva.
Client: Drake Store

In January 2025, when Drake Store was getting ready to close its Lausanne boutique at rue de Bourg 22, Saida, the manager, contacted us with a clear need: remove all the furniture and hand the premises back empty.
But it was not just a matter of turning up, loading and leaving. There were clothes rails, counters and furniture fixed to the walls: quality pieces, sturdy and heavy. Before taking them out of the shop, they had to be dismantled, and their handling, loading and transport planned.
Arriving from Geneva with the work already organised
Our team came from Geneva, so the organisation started well before we reached the shop door.
We planned the clearance over several visits and coordinated the journeys to be on site first thing, taking into account access to the streets of central Lausanne. It was not only about bringing a team and vehicles: schedules, dismantling and removal all had to fit what had been agreed with Saida.
Heavy furniture is not solved by muscle alone
The weight and sturdiness of the furniture were the main challenge.
We removed the wall fixings and dismantled the furniture into parts, so we could handle lighter pieces and load them more easily. We also organised the trips needed to stay within load limits: the goal was to empty the shop, not to squeeze everything into one trip at any cost.
We handled the whole process: dismantling, loading and transporting the furniture to approved disposal centres.
The shop handed back empty, and the collaboration went on
We completed the visits and handed back the empty premises, as agreed. But the story did not end with the last load: later on, Saida contacted us again for more work in her Geneva boutiques.
That is the detail we remember: after Lausanne, she called on our team again.
